About Us
Our Story
Our journey started in 2017, when three friends—Luciana, Fran, and Edo—founded a company called Rota Amsterdam. Our goal wasn’t just to offer standardized tours to our clients. Instead, we wanted to create a real experience with a personal touch from a local guide—someone who not only shows you the tourist highlights, but also takes you to places locals love and shares insights into everyday life and culture.
Because we all have a strong connection to Brazil, we initially decided to focus on Portuguese-speaking tourists. We felt that the touristic offerings for this group were lacking and believed we could make a difference. Within a few years, we successfully established ourselves as a reference in the market, improving the experience for Portuguese-speaking tourists in the Netherlands. More importantly, we shared countless unforgettable moments and made many great friends along the way.
After working with thousands of Portuguese-speaking clients, we decided to expand our horizons and launch Route Amsterdam, offering the same high-quality experience to English-speaking visitors exploring our beautiful city. Why not let more people join in on the fun, right? 😀
In the meantime, Fran left the company to pursue an even bigger dream—becoming a university professor—but we welcomed several other amazing guides to our team. Each of them brings their own background, interests, and unique perspective on the city.
Our mission is to offer you an unforgettable and truly unique travel experience, 100% customized to your needs and profile.
We hope to see you soon in Amsterdam!

Working as a guide for years now Vinicius has expanded his knowledge about Holland vastly. However, his main interest are still the typical and tradional Dutch things. He would love to take you to the flower fields of the Keukenhof or the windmills of the Zaanse Schans and show you how Dutch cheese and wooden shoes are made. If you choose a tour outside of Amsterdam there is big chance that Vinicius will be your guide!

Cecilia
GUIDE
Cecilia has worked as a digital marketing professional for years but made a career switch to becoming a guide because of her love for Dutch culture and history. She lived in Amsterdam before but now lives in Haarlem and she would love to show you the treasures of this beautiful town. Haarlem is only 15 minutes by car or train from Amsterdam but has a totally different and medieval feel.
Let Cecilia take you on a tour and show you the best spots. You won’t regret!
